Students have the option to make their profile public, so that friends, family, and potential employers can follow their academic status - what school they attend, major they're taking, and expected graduation date.

Nfoshare uses the LTI Standard to connect with Blackboard, Sakai, Canvas, Moodle, and any other LTI-compliant LMS. This eliminates the additional entry and creation of credentials and provides easy access to Nfoshare.

Nfoshare never shares student information with anyone but the school - doing so would be illegal and against FERPA regulations (which we aim to 100% compliant with). Student credentials are hashed/salted and communication channels are encrypted.

Every user of Nfoshare (students, professors, assistants, etc.) can be notified when someone posts in their group or course, and when someone comments on their post.

At the heart of the Nfoshare feed is a tagging and mentions system where content can be searched and filtered based on user-supplied tags and mentions of groups, users, and courses in a post.
